LIDMAATSCHAP NGU (English below)

U kunt u lid worden van het NGU of blijven.

Graag zelfs! Voor slechts € 10,- per jaar krijgt u de e-mail aankondigingen van en toegang tot de lezingen en mist u er niet een meer.

Studenten worden met nadruk uitgenodigd lid te worden. Voor een jaar lidmaatschap (slechts € 5,-) kan je niet eens meer een biertje kopen, dus….

HOE WORD IK LID

Lid worden of uw contributie betalen gaat via een website van de Universiteit Utrecht (UU), het werkt vergelijkbaar met een product kopen bij een webshop.

U moet zich eenmalig aanmelden door een account aan te maken, zodat we weten wie betaalt. Heeft u al een account, dan kan u gelijk inloggen. Hierna kan “het product” (het lidmaatschap) aangeschaft worden.

U kunt betalen via Ideal of creditcard, de keuzes komen vanzelf naar boven.

Vervolgens ontvangt U automatisch een factuur van de betaling.

De totale afhandeling is in handen van de Universiteit Utrecht waarmee ik wel durf te zeggen dat dit bijzonder veilig is.

Bij (hoge) uitzondering is het mogelijk contant te betalen, mail dan naar de secretaris.Met vriendelijke groeten, kind regards, cordiali saluti

Om het een en ander makkelijker te maken is een PDF document toegevoegd (NGU lidmaatschap) waarin alles is na te lezen en waarin u stap voor stap door het proces wordt geleid. Helaas allen (nog) in het Nederlands, maar de site staat toe de taal in het Engels te zetten.

Dear NGU members,

We would like to align NGU membership with the calendar year.

We therefore ask you to pay your membership fee and perhaps let others in your circle know that they can also become members.

Here is some information on how to do so.

NGU MEMBERSHIP

You can become or remain a member of the NGU.

We’d love that! For just €10 a year, you’ll receive email announcements and access to the lectures, so you won’t miss a single one.

Students are particularly encouraged to join. A year’s membership (just €5) won’t even buy you a pint these days, so…

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER

Becoming a member or paying your membership fee is done via a website of Utrecht University (UU); it works much like buying a product from an online shop.

You need to register once by creating an account so that we know who is paying. If you already have an account, you can log in straight away. You can then purchase ‘the product’ (the membership).

You can pay via iDEAL or credit card; the options will appear automatically.

You will then automatically receive an invoice for the payment.

The entire process is handled by Utrecht University, so I can safely say that it is extremely secure.

In very exceptional circumstances, it is possible to pay in cash; please email the secretary.

To make things easier, a PDF document has been attached containing all the relevant information and guiding you step by step through the process. Unfortunately, it is (as yet) only available in Dutch, but the site allows you to switch the language to English.
